Billingsfors Bruk was founded on May 18, 1738 as an iron mill, making iron plates, shovels and axes. The company ventured into pulp production in 1882, and when the first two Yankee machines were installed in 1923, they further expanded into paper production.
In 1982 Billingsfors Bruk became part of Munksjö group, which is currently owned by EQT.
Today the company is a state-of-the-art mill using the latest technology to produce special paper and foil qualities. The mill is now split into two operating divisions: Thin Paper and Spantex.
Thin Print Papers represent the optimal solution for all applications requiring a large amount of information to be printed on minimal space, but still offering excellent printability, high opacity and good processing properties on printing and folding machines.
The main applications for their Thin Print Papers are packaging inserts (patient information leaflets or cosmetic leaflets), books with high pagination (legal publications, dictionaries, religious literature), catalogues and diaries.
Spantex is widely used in most furniture applications in the South African market. |
